Electric Landscapes of Rebellion
is a project started in 2010 gathering Edith Alonso (Spain) and Antony
Maubert (France). Both
artists already worked together for several years as a duo
experimenting various fields of making sound : circuit bending,
homemade electronic instruments, objects from daily life, digital
synthesis etc... They now come back to computer, questioning
the relationship between field recordings and digital synthesis and how
they interact in creating surealistic soundscapes and new
significations in the disruption of established orders.
Electric Landscapes of Rebellion, shows a new approach of the duo :
both artists melt their sounds together as if one performer, one "sound
generator", turning
down the concept of duality meant by duo.
